MO SALAH was given a hero’s welcome by 25,000 fans after agreeing a mega-money move to Turkey’s Trabzonspor.

The Liverpool legend jetted in from his holiday on Greek island Mykonos to sign a worth £363,000 a week — AFTER TAX.

And the , 34, was blown away by his reception at Trabzon Airport.

Salah was treated to hundreds of flares and fireworks as he , the number he wears for his beloved Egypt, after ditching his iconic No11 from his Liverpool days.

As the party raged on, Salah said: “It is incredible to have these fans here now.

“The reception was unbelievable, so I am very happy to be here.

“I can’t put it into words, but the fans here show so much love…25,000 people. I don’t know if I have seen that before at an airport!

“But it is a great feeling and shows a lot of love. So I am really happy about this, for sure. I am looking forward to joining the team.

“Everywhere I go I always try to win something. Hopefully, we can do something good in the league and Europe as well.”

Salah has been on the hunt for a new club since appearing for Egypt at this summer’s World Cup.

Talks with Trabzonspor accelerated this week and led to the winger flying in from Greek island Mykonos.

Salah, who will wear the No10 shirt, travelled to Istanbul via a private jet and he was greeted by a small number of supporters and media.

The Egyptian then went to Acibadem Maslak Hospital to undergo a medical, before flying to Trabzon.

It was at the airport there where the 34-year-old was , who set off flares and fireworks.

Trabzonspor had earlier called for calm via a statement on social media, but the surrounding roads were gridlocked by the time Salah arrived at around 9pm local time.

The signing is a major coup for the Turkish side, who beat off competition from Saudi Arabia to get a .

Fellow Turkish club Besiktas had also been in the running, however they could not match the final offer on the table.

Trabzonspor president Ertugrul Dogan told Turkish newspaper Fanatik: “He (Salah) is a world star.

“We needed a player like him. It will be great. May it be beneficial for our community.

“We accelerated the transfer process when other teams withdrew. I had a meeting with Salah and his agent.

“It was a very professional, respectful meeting where both sides understood each other and there was no difficulty. We met for about 10 days.

“We are trying to send a message to everyone and to Europe that Trabzonspor can bring whoever it wants to Trabzon.

“Our recent success is being talked about all over and Europe.”
