AFTER watching Sabrina Washington’s car-crash interview on Good Morning Britain, I felt a bit like the late Queen after she said recollections may vary.
— and insisted that no press release was issued to that effect.
She told yesterday: “I have not said split in any way shape or form, that has not come from me.
“I didn’t do a press release at all.
“I have not said anything.
“I don’t talk like that.”
But your personal publicist does, Sabrina.
On Monday, an email was sent from their account with the subject headline: “ 1 week after Wembley reunion as Sabrina Washington announces tour.”
I would put on Sabrina having seen it before it was sent too, because this was a very important press release.
And we all know what control freaks most celebrities are.
Despite Sabrina’s desperate attempts to redress the narrative, I can disprove everything she said.
When asked if she, and had been offered opportunities to perform together again as a group, Sabrina blustered: “I am not saying no to any.
“Nothing has come up.”
Well that’s a corker of a porker, Sabrina.
Because your personal publicist sent a very shady email to my colleague Howell on Wednesday night after he wrote the correct version of how this split came about in this very column.
The publicist quoted back a section of Howell’s piece which revealed that there were “lucrative and exciting offers on the table for them as a group”, before adding: “30 grand for three shows. What’s that two pound. Get that out purse [sic].”
I think what her publicist meant to write was: “What’s that? Two pounds. Get that purse out.”
But it’s easy to make grammatical mistakes and sequencing errors when you’re spitting feathers about the truth getting out.
The reality is this . . .
Alesha and Su-Elise were blindsided by the decision Sabrina and her publicist made to announce Mis-Teeq had split.
They were not informed of this prior to the press release being sent to everyone’s inboxes.
Sabrina was due to have a meeting with Alesha and Su-Elise this week to discuss the offers on the table for Mis-Teeq.
And Sabrina must have known all about them, because it seems — if I am reading her publicist’s garbled message to Howell correctly — that she didn’t think the money on offer was good enough and would have said something like: “Sod this, I’m out.”
Sabrina had better hope those five solo shows she has announced for early next year sell well, or that £30,000 may end up coming back to haunt her . . .

Kacey’s VMAs tribute to Dolly
Country-pop star Kacey Musgraves will deliver a tribute to at Sunday’s VMAs – a month after the music icon died.
They both lived in Nashville, , and struck up a friendship.
Kacey sang with Dolly on her huge hit Here You Come Again at an awards do in 2019.
Kacey will actually be on stage in Nashville on Sunday night when the ceremony is taking place – so she either faces a mad dash across the country to get to her gig from the Los Angeles event or, more likely, will be delivering the tribute from Music City.
Kacey, who is performing at the VMAs for the first time in five years, joins a packed line-up also featuring , Sienna Spiro and Shaboozey, as well as , Sombr and Teddy Swims, who are giving a tribute to .
Last night, it was also revealed will debut the video to her new single, Patient Zero, at the show.
Filming crew trapped as The Gents get flooded
crew were caught up in Morocco’s flash floods during filming for series three this week.
Teams got trapped inside their trailers on Monday while making the next instalment of Guy Ritchie’s drama on the outskirts of Erfoud in the Sahara Desert.
But leading stars, including who plays drug- dealing aristocrat Eddie Horniman, were not involved in the alert.
A source said: “The crew were stuck in their trailers for a couple of hours.
“Luckily the main cast were not stranded – that would have been a nightmare for production.”
A producer on the ground said: “Following heavy rainfall after filming had wrapped, some crew experienced delays leaving the production base while localised flooding cleared.
“Everyone remained safe and filming continued on Tuesday.”
Theo is expected to start filming his scenes soon, but he revealed it’s not always easy working with Guy.
He said: “The scripts are never written.
“They don’t exist.
“They’re skeletally laid out.
“You know where you are and vaguely what’s happening.
“It’s pretty f***ing stressful.
“What’s good about that freeform is that Guy wants to know what’s interesting and fresh.
“So if a script comes and he says, ‘This is a bit f***ing boring, let’s do something interesting’, for comedy, especially, that’s a good thing.”
