ERLING HAALAND’s goal clinched three points from Manchester United at Old Trafford despite being down to 10-men after Phil Foden’s first-half sending off.

Foden had put Enzo Maresca’s side up against it when his moment of madness in kicking Bruno Fernandes led to his dismissal.

However, Haaland’s dagger on the hour saw City make sure they were the kings of Manchester.

Haaland ghosted in at the far post to slot home a cross following a lengthy VAR check.

The goal had initially been ruled out for offside, but VAR called it back to confirm Haaland was onside due to Patrick Dorgu’s outstretched toe, and deeming Enzo Fernandez to have not played the ball despite being in an offside position.

That controversial call involving the Premier League record buy was the difference between the teams.
