VINCENT KOMPANY has been discharged from hospital five days after collapsing at the Bayern Munich training ground.
Medical staff had been working tirelessly to determine what had caused the Bayern manager’s health scare, which saw him airlifted to hospital last Friday.

And Bayern sporting director Max Eberl has confirmed that a breakthrough was made and Kompany should be back on the touchline soon.
Manchester City legend Kompany, 40, was diagnosed with meningeal irritation.
The meninges are the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal chord which, when irritated, can trigger painful muscle spasms.
Eberl said: “They have found what it is. It’s meningeal irritation that caused this incident last Friday.
“I’m very, very sure that he will soon be back on the sideline at 100 per cent.”
Kompany was reported to have fallen unconscious, experienced convulsions and dislocated his shoulder when he collapsed.
The Belgian has been visited by various Bayern higher-ups during his hospital stay, with assistant Aaron Danks taking the team for Sunday’s win over Freiburg, and their cup clash with Magdeburg on Wednesday.
Kompany was initially expected to be away from the touchline for weeks.
It is unclear exactly how the diagnosis affects that timeline.
