He has achieved five consecutive wins.
He began this challenge last October and now sports a wild mane of unruly curly hair.
However, Ilett is now only 180 minutes of football away from his long-awaited haircut.
United followed up their victories against Sunderland and Liverpool with another win on Saturday.
Matheus Cunha, Casemiro, and Bryan Mbeumo put Ruben Amorim’s team firmly in control.
The Portuguese manager then made several substitutions.
But Danny Welbeck’s free-kick and a Charalampos Kostoulas header brought the Seagulls to 3-2 in injury time, creating a tense finish.
Yet, Mbeumo skillfully finished with nearly the last kick of the game to secure all three points.
This victory brings Ilett more than halfway to his target of five consecutive wins.
United will face Nottingham Forest next Saturday and could have the opportunity to achieve their fifth win in a row away at Tottenham on November 8.
With the goal in sight, Littler took to social media to share a note for his fellow fan.
In his Instagram story celebrating the victory, Littler tagged The United Strand and included three emojis.
The barber pole, razor, and ‘soon’ arrow suggested that the darts sensation believes Ilett won’t have to wait much longer for his haircut.
The viral fan, known for his stunt, was recently subjected to an indefinite ban by United.
