IT was not a scene that was on anyone’s 2026 bingo card: Britain’s most notorious porn star being held aloft by a priest as she gets baptised.
As ever, didn’t let the moment go unnoticed, with footage of the bizarre ceremony racking up 1.5million views on alone. But over the course of our interview – her most candid to date – the true motivations behind her controversial ‘stunt’ become all too clear.

Over recent years, the former Tesco shelf stacker, from , has sparked national outrage with her , which have seen strangers fly in from America, Sweden and France for .
But now Lily claims her extreme X-rated antics , which have earned her a , are taking “a backseat” because she has rediscovered God and been baptised for a second time.
She tells The Sun: “A lot of people believe I can’t be a Christian if I do this line of work. It is tricky, but I’m not a traditional Christian, and I would argue that any relationship with God is better than none.”
Unsurprisingly, the news has been met by a torrent of skepticism from critics, who have branded it “yet another publicity stunt” and accused Lily of “lying for attention” – especially considering she is still posting and previously .
Is it, as many suspect, just one last desperate throw of the dice now the shock value of her marathon sex videos has dried up? Or is there a more calculated motivation at play?
There is no doubt that the adult star is acutely conscious of her public image – and how to stand out in an industry oversaturated by OnlyFans models desperately vying for the attention of subscribers.
Her , for instance – which saw her post pictures cradling an apparent baby bump and sharing two photos of positive tests with fans – was later revealed by her publicist as a brazen ploy “to follow trending categories and hit target audiences in the adult industry”.
It won’t have escaped her notice, then, that amongst fellow Gen Zers, Christianity is back in fashion, with recent .
In the taboo-busting world of adult entertainment, where few dark fantasies are off-limit, it is certainly one way to carve out a controversial niche.
Taking Lily by her own word, though, perhaps the clearest answer is that she is preparing to shake up her image – and go mainstream.
During our chat, she paints an audacious vision of her future career, with plans to launch a lingerie line and do presenting work. She would even “love to go on Loose Women”.
The question, of course, is why would any daytime TV devotees want to listen to the views of an infamous OnlyFans rabble-rouser?
“I feel like you get pigeonholed as this 2D sex doll. That’s all people will ever see you as and all you will ever be to them,” Lily insists. “But there’s a lot more to us than that.”
Behind the mask
During our conversation, Lily rarely deviates from the chatty, unflappable ‘girl next door’ persona that has made her so much money she could retire today – if she wanted to.
In fact, the mask only appears to slip when we discuss the brutal impact her career choices have had on her family – particularly her middle-class parents, who told her , their business and give her everything if she “gave it all up now”.
“I feel so selfish for putting my parents through this,” Lily admits. “It’s really not nice to see the people you love the most so hurt and upset.
“I constantly get death threats, like ‘I’m going to come to your house, I’m going to rape you, I’m going to kill you’ – things like that are pretty standard.
“But the comments that really upset me are when it’s about my family and just saying how my parents are failures.

“I’m happy for people to target me and send hate to me, but when I hear someone getting a hold of my dad’s number and calling him up and giving him hate, it does upset me.
“They did not choose for me to do this. This is not their choice. I definitely feel bad about that. If I didn’t do this they wouldn’t have made these comments. It’s tricky.”
‘Bonnie’s not my friend’
Fighting back tears, it only takes a few seconds for Lily to slip back into ‘performance mode’ as she reveals why, despite her family’s fears and her rediscovered faith, she won’t give up the day job yet.
Continuing to perform degrading acts online is “not really about the money”, she claims, but about “prioritising my own happiness”.
Few could believe any enjoyment could be derived from such extreme acts – the most infamous of which supposedly saw her have sex with 1,113 men in 12 hours.
In a distressing viral clip from Lily’s own documentary following the stunt, she also appeared to contradict her happy-go-lucky outlook, and admitting she needed to “disassociate” to get through it.
I am never going to be able to explain to my parents why I don’t feel degraded

Those ever-escalating X-rated marathons came amid a controversial internet battle with Bonnie Blue, who claimed to have bedded 1,057 men in 12 hours and copulated with “barely legal” teenage university students.
Bonnie, 26, , has done her part to whip up a rivalry, scathingly calling Lily a “poor imitation” and slamming her for copying her stunts “20 minutes later … and end up crying”.
Both of them have undeniably profited from “rage-baiting” – hitting an all-time low in February last year, when they both faked a pregnancy while continuing to post X-rated content online.
Lily insists there was “never any sense of competition” from her side, tellingly adding: “We are not friends but there isn’t a rivalry.
“I wish her all the best and she’s clearly smashing it. Obviously we have worked together before. Bonnie is just not my type of person – and that’s fine.”
X-rated stunts ‘no longer exciting’
Lily now claims her marathon stunts have “really taken a backseat” because she is bored of them, explaining: “I wasn’t finding it exciting anymore”.
I wonder, have her parents’ reservations hit home at all?
Even Lily has mooted the point, telling me: “Maybe my parents are right, they are wiser, older, but for me right now, I don’t find it degrading. I still enjoy it and that’s why I do it.
“It’s a really tricky one. I am never going to be able to explain to my parents why I don’t feel degraded. They are never going to understand.
“It’s too much of an awkward subject to go into and say, ‘Mum and dad, I actually do enjoy doing this… and I don’t find it personally degrading.”

Lily professes to be “quite an introvert” and lives alone. She “hasn’t dated anyone in four or five years” due to her profession and says she’s “not been a good friend” due to never being present.
Her work phone’s screentime paints a very lonely picture.
In one day alone, she spent 15 hours and 43 minutes – that’s nearly double the average eight-hour shift Brits undertake each day – online keeping up with her subscribers.
The job consists of non-stop replying to her most loyal, high-spending fans, taking photos and filming – and then trying to lure in even more ever-demanding customers.
‘I was shameless’
But she has no intention to stop. Lily says she could have “still been really successful” creating faceless content and not partaking in such extreme headline-grabbing stunts – but didn’t want to.
She says: “I knew I was never going to be able to get a proper job after this, that I would probably really struggle in all of my relationships and everyone was going to judge me forever.
“That should move someone away from the extreme stuff… but no, I was kind of shameless, if I’m honest.”
Before studying nutrition at university, where she dropped out after a few months to make adult content, she had a nine-to-five job in Tesco stacking shelves but “hated it” and has no intention of going back to ‘regular’ work.
It just upsets me to see my dad and mum upset. It’s really not good
Lily Phillips
Her main regret is the impact the career has had on her parents, Lindsay and Emma, who run a successful cleaning business that afforded the family two holidays a year and fancy cars while she was growing up.
They have lost friends, been shunned by neighbours and accused of cashing in on their daughter’s career, despite always being adamantly against what she does.
Worse still, Lily’s dad has been subjected to seeing some of her X-rated content courtesy of trolls, who also direct their hate towards him in messages, emails and phone calls.
“Not too long ago someone sent him an email – of what I can only imagine because my dad only said ‘content’,” she says.
“I don’t know what video, photo or content this was of me but I can only imagine. It just upsets me to see my dad and mum upset. It’s really not good.”
‘Internet’s most hated’
Yet for all the claims of inner turmoil over how her job affects her family, Lily persists in the profession and seems to relish the notoriety it has earned her.
She considers herself among few people able to handle such infamy – even weathering being labelled one of the “most hated women on the internet” and subjected to tirades from furious girlfriends of men who have subscribed to her channel.
“I can kind of harness that notoriety and I deal with it well, I enjoy it,” Lily adds. “To be successful on OnlyFans, you need to market yourself.
“The goal is to be more talked about. The more people talk, the more people will find you and subscribe. It pays to be well-known and it shows I’ve done my job right and my hard work is paying off.

Tellingly, Lily’s parents were not present for her second baptism – despite them raising her as a Christian and attending church with her up until she was 14.
Their eye-raising absence, she claims, was down to “wanting to do it for me and myself”. She insists she wants to “prioritise my faith” in 2026.
Lily claims her reason for disclosing her recent baptism was to prove that OnlyFans stars are “multifaceted, real people with real thoughts and feelings”.
“I’ve faced a lot of backlash and that’s fine. It’s none of anyone’s business whether they think I’m a good Christian or not,” she adds.
