Tragic Turn in Timeline of Husband’s Deadly Attack on Wife and Six Children Before Arson Incident

A HARROWING detail in the timeline of the deaths of a mom and her six children has been revealed by their autopsy results.

Kristopher Karolkiewicz, 47, launched into a murderous rampage on July 24, wiping out his family and setting fire to their $750,000 home in Grand Haven Township, Michigan, before taking his own life.

His wife, Amanda ‘Mandy’ Karolkiewicz, 39, was found next to Kristopher’s body in their bedroom.

The bodies of their six children – four boys aged five, 11, 12, and 15 and two 11-year-old girls were found in other bedrooms in the property.

Their four beloved pets, three dogs and a cat, also died in the torched home.

All eight family members suffered gunshot wounds to the head.

Now, the autopsy results have revealed that Amanda was “likely” killed by her husband before the children – possibly hours before.

The death certificates obtained by WLNS revealed that Mandy’s date of death is listed as “on or after” July 23, though it also notes the date of injury as July 24.

Meanwhile, the certificates for Kristopher and the children note their date of deaths as July 24.

The exact times of death for all family members is “unknown” but Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office Captain Jacob Sparks told the news outlet that the results suggest Mandy “likely died earlier than the children.”

“We don’t have have an exact timeline yet and are still working to establish that.”

Police are now examining surveillance footage and interviewing neighbors, relatives and friends as they try to reconstruct the family’s final hours.

Authorities said there was no record of previous police calls or visits to the home and no evidence of a struggle inside.

A motive for the killings has not been established.

It has been revealed that Krisopher lost his job at the American Heart Association earlier this month where he worked as a national vice president of sales and marketing for three years.

“This is an unspeakable tragedy that we may never completely understand why it happened,” Sparks previously said.

“But we’ll do our best to find the answers and to honor the memory of those victims.”

Mandy, a substitute teacher and children’s author, has been remembered as a “kind and devoted soul who loved her family and her students,” her parents said in a statement.

“We treasured every moment we had with her and her six children, and words cannot adequately express our devastation.

“We pray for God’s peace and comfort as we grieve their deaths and honor their lives.”

The investigation is ongoing.
