Did Epstein's 'Pimp' Meet a Poisonous Fate? Investigators Launch Murder Inquiry into Model Scout's Mysterious Death 'Who Knew Too Much'

HE was suspected of being Jeffrey Epstein’s Paris ‘pimp’ and mentioned more than 2,000 times in the infamous FBI files on the prolific paedophile.

Now the body of Daniel Said – who was found dead in his Paris home earlier this month – is to be tested for poison over suspicions he was murdered, The Sun can reveal.

prosecutors believe the model scout, 69, could have been bumped off because he knew too much about the paedophile’s global sex trafficking ring.

Politicians, celebrities and even royals such as the disgraced have been linked to the web, which included underage girls.

Siad was due to be questioned by authorities on his links to the shamed financier before his sudden death.

An autopsy was held last week, after being ordered by Nanterre prosecutors, and – following an examination of results – further expert analysis has now been demanded.

This is “because of suspicions that the deceased had been poisoned”, an investigating source told The Sun.

He added: “There was no sign of physical violence, but forensic examination revealed a compromised state of health, including signs of a past heart attack.

“Toxicology tests will now take place, with sample tissues analysed for poisonous substances.”

The tests are considered urgent because potent poisons in chemical compounds such as cyanide break down within days of death.

The Sun can also reveal that the investigation into the French side of the Epstein sex ring has not ended with Siad’s death.

Instead, the investigation opened in February by France’s Central Office for the Repression of Trafficking in Human Beings focusing on Siad will carry on.

Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau said it “will continue in order to identify all individuals who could potentially be implicated”.

Siad continually denied any wrongdoing, and claimed to be “looking forward” to clearing his name through interviews with prosecutors.

He was officially known as a modelling scout, but he is mentioned thousands of times in the US Department of Justice documents relating to Epstein.

In the files, Siad appeared to liken his job of recruiting women to fishing.

Siad wrote to Epstein in 2014: “In This busyness (sic) I feel like fisherman some time I cache quick, some time no fish.”

Born in Algeria, he allegedly acted as a recruiter in France for Epstein – working with him from the late 2000s up until 2017.

He carried out scouting jobs in countries such as Poland, the Czech Republic, South Africa, Morocco, Cuba, and also France.

Among his closest contacts was Jean-Luc Brunel, the fashion agent found dead in a Paris prison in 2022, at the age of 75.

Like Epstein, Brunel was found hanging in his cell in an alleged suicide that has always been viewed as suspicious.

Brunel was said to have killed himself after spending 14 months in custody awaiting trial on charges of rape of minors and sexual harassment, which he denied.

Before his death, Siad said he believed he had been providing would-be models to Epstein.

Siad wrote: “He had a big apartment where he used to organise all his meetings, including casting for models I recruited, for Victoria’s Secret and MC2.

“The casting time would not last more than 10 minutes. I always left the place with the models immediately.”

The property referred to was a £10million Paris flat next to the Arc de Triomphe – regularly visited by men including Andrew and ex-British politician and diplomat .

Both Mandleson and Mountbatten-Windsor have been arrested in Britain as part of an investigation into misconduct in public office.

They have both since been released without charge, and vehemently deny any wrongdoing.

This will not prevent them becoming involved in the ongoing Siad enquiry, however.

Abused children as young as 12 were said to have passed through the Epstein apartment in the French capital, which included a massage parlour.

Cotrin Valdson, the Paris flat’s former concierge, said the former Prince Andrew was often a guest – just as he was at Epstein’s properties in New York, Florida, and the Virgin Islands.

Mr Valdson said that he “regularly looked after Prince Andrew” during low-key visits to the French capital.

There is no suggestion that either Mountbatten-Windsor or Mandleson were aware of any criminality at the flat.

Earlier this year, the former Swedish model Ebba Karlsson accused Siad of rape.

She said he had “scouted” her in her home town of Stockholm, Sweden, in 1990, when she was a 20-year-old model, and later raped her in France.

Siad then went by a different name, she said, and she was only able to identify him after seeing images of him in the international reporting of the Epstein files.

Responding to the news of Siad’s death, Ms Karlsson said it was “very frustrating” that he had died before being fully investigated.

Enquiries about the activities of Epstein and his friends in France related to Siad were reinvigorated by new witness testimonies earlier this year.

A woman who cannot be named for legal reason said she worked as a “sex slave” at Epstein’s Paris apartment, leaked interview transcripts with Paris prosecutors reveal.

Asked if women were solely being procured for Epstein, a convicted paedophile, for sexual purposes, the woman replied: “Yes, and I don’t think it was just for Epstein, but for other important people as well.”

The Avenue Foch property was also visited by Virginia Giuffre Roberts – another former Epstein ‘sex slave’ who alleged Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor slept with her when she was a teenager.

Before her death by suicide in April last year, at the age of 41, she said Andrew was “an abuser, a participant” in Epstein’s worldwide sex trafficking ring.

Regular guests at the Epstein property also included his long-term British girlfriend , now 64, who is serving 20 years in an American prison for child trafficking.

Mountbatten-Windsor and Maxwell, the daughter of the late tycoon Robert Maxwell, were close friends, and travelled extensively together.

In a further chilling twist to the case, Virginia said 12-year-old twin girls were “recruited” in Paris and sent to America for Epstein to have sex with.

French prosecutors issued a public appeal to try and find the pair, who were said to be Eastern Europeans living in Paris.

The investigation into Siad’s links with Epstein continues.
