At 31, Joe Wood was encouraged to take part in the TV dating experiment after some stern encouragement from him mum.
The former party boy and personal trainer from Huddersfield, previously had a tendency to run away from his relationship problems in previous romantic situations.
However, now he joins the experiment, hoping to find a partner in crime who is all about living life to the fullest.
On his , Joe announced his participation in the E4 hit with the caption: “If all else fails… marry a stranger.”
What’s clear is Joe is definitely seeing the funnier side of taking part in the dating show.

With that in mind, fans of the show do not have to wait for much longer to find out who the marriage experts decide to partner the young stud with, and more importantly how the relationship will unfold.
There will be a whole extra hour of MAFS each week for fans
The show premieres on on Sunday 21 September, when the 18 singles will become just nine couples, and every night from Sunday to Thursday each week, viewers will get to divulge in all the marital highs and lows and see who lasts the course.
Savvy- fans will know that this is one episode more each week, with the Sunday episode a new programming addition for 2025.
For MAFS-addicts that’s a whole hour extra each week to consume the reality hit.
