JIMMY Carr has revealed he only has one meal a day as he opens up about being body conscious and staying trim.
The comedian, 53, appeared on Katherine Ryan’s What’s My Age Again? podcast as he shared his thoughts on his diet and body image.

When asked by Katherine about his image, he expressed: “I’m pretty body conscious as it is.
“I mean, I would say not like I think I’ve got an eating disorder, but I think I’m very conscious of weight, very conscious of staying sort of trim…
“In a way that’s probably on balance, maybe not the healthiest, really.
“I think the sort of body dysmorphia sort of thing was, was always associated with women with, you know, and .”
The star admitted he finds it difficult to eat healthily when he’s travelling on the road for shows as there’s a lack of structure and routine.
Katherine asked: “So do you do intermittent fasting then?”
He responded: “I sort of naturally do that, I tend to eat once a day.”
She enquired: “Have you eaten today?,” as he said: “No,” and revealed he’d only had black coffee and water and his first meal of the day would be dinner.
The performer said he has a weakness for junk food such as McDonald’s while he’s on the road but only allows himself a treat once every two weeks.
Jimmy previously revealed he tries to stay as healthy as possible because following a battle with pancreatic cancer.
He admitted on The Rosebud with Gyles Brandreth podcast that he didn’t want to risk his health in a similar way to his mother.
Jimmy told the star: “My mother didn’t look after herself, was maybe a little bit overweight.
“She was unhealthy and then she got sick and then she died. And that’s not lost on me in terms of, I’m very particular about trying to keep myself trim.”
Jimmy’s appearance has changed over the years and he’s been open about having had a hair transplant, veneers and injections.
He said “very little” of his original face still exists due to extensive cosmetic work and spoke about having “gone a bit crazy” during lockdown – admitting it was “a proper midlife crisis”.

Despite being no stranger to surgical procedures, the 8 Out of 10 Cats host by a medical professional.
“I’m sure you can get a picture up, but they take out the fat there [points to the sides of his mouth] so, you go from having, I mean I’ve always had chubby little cheeks.
“It doesn’t matter how much weight I lose. I could be 50kg and I would still have chubby cheeks.
“But they take out the fat from here [pointing to his cheeks] so that you look chiselled and model-y (sic).”
Jimmy said his plastic surgeon was hesitant about the procedure due to patients looking worse in their fifties and often asked to have it reversed.
He added that the medical professional often told him “nope, we’re not doing that” after hearing his suggestions, much to his amusement.
