The actress, 33, has become known for repeatedly reconciling with her other half — despite his flaws.
Their marriage has been rocked by , who admitted in 2020: “I’ve made mistakes,.”
However, after giving their relationship multiple chances, friends claim Jac has accepted it is doomed after living separate lives for months.
It is a dramatic ending worthy of the famous “doof doof” drumbeat that concludes each cliffhanger EastEnders episode.
A source close to Dan told The Sun: “Everyone knows they’ve had their troubles, but after spending some time apart this year, they’ve decided to make the split permanent.
“Their two daughters are their main priority.”
It’s claimed Dan moved out permanently last month into the “secret” during their brief split in early 2025.
In a surprise plot twist, friends say he had doubts about going through with the — but Jacqueline stood her ground.
Our insider added: “After all Jac’s been through, she’s finally had enough. They’ve been living separate lives all this year and she’s over it.
“There’s only so many times she can put herself through living in limbo and taking him back.

“She has mentally checked out of the relationship for the first time and Dan has panicked.
“He’s worried the grass isn’t greener and has had the shock of his life that he’s pushed Jac too far this time.”
In recent weeks, the couple unfollowed each other on social media as their relationship broke down again.
However, when approached by The Sun about their marriage ending, Jacqueline immediately re-followed her hubby and Dan followed suit the next morning.
Jac’s pal told The Sun: “It feels too good to be true that Jacqueline has finally seen the light, but they’ve both been telling friends it’s over.
“It seemed impossible, but she’s starting to accept not being Dan’s wife and just Jacqueline.
“Her confidence has come flooding back and she’s happier than she’s been in a long time.
“Jacqueline’s also throwing herself in to work and enjoying every moment being the best mum she can be to her kids. Life is short — she’s determined not to waste it.”
Jacqueline — who has daughters Ella, 11, and Mia, seven, with Dan — first joined Albert Square in 2010, when she was just 17, playing bolshy Lauren Branning.
She left the show in 2018 and, the following year,
The star kept her hand in with guest appearances, but confirmed her full-time return in 2023.
Since then, her career has soared.
She was thrilled to be nominated for best dramatic performance at — losing out to her EastEnders co-star .
It followed her powerful performance in the soap as Lauren dealt with her painkiller addiciton and her newborn son’s sight impairment.
Meanwhile, off-screen, Jacqueline has been putting herself first and overhauling her healthy lifestyle, which has seen her slim down two dress sizes without the lure of fad diets or weight-loss injections.
Instead, she banned herself from eating the kids’ leftovers — feeding any uneaten grub to the family dog instead.
And she has been spending quality time with her friends at the gym as part of her self-care routine.
Her revival has given her a new sense of self, according to loved ones.
Our source explained: “Her friends are all so pleased for her.
“They’ve been begging her to ditch Dan for years.
“She’s spent years looking after her kids, dealing with whatever latest scandal to hit Dan and she had forgotten about herself.

“Going back to work has given her purpose and fulfilment and helped (her) find the strength she needed to see life after Dan.”
The couple tied the knot at stunning Delamere Manor, in , in 2017 and appeared in a glossy photoshoot for OK! magazine.
But their marriage has been rocked by numerous cheating allegations against Dan.
Whilst Jacqueline is described by those around her as “a sweet, kind and loyal soul”, her turbulent relationship has undoubtedly caused distress over the years — and made her appear to be a “walkover”.
Dan’s womanising ways even threatened to destroy her shining moment on I’m A Celeb, when she threatened to quit after campmate told her he believed Dan had cheated on her with star .
Jac told producers that she did not want to stay on the show without talking to Dan and she was allowed to leave the jungle temporarily to send him a voicemail and receive one back.
It led to Dan finally admitting his past infidelities as he appeared to draw a line under his behaviour, saying: “I’ve made mistakes. I’ve done things I shouldn’t have done.”
However, we revealed last summer that he and comforted one another amid their marital woes.
The pair exchanged flirty texts and model Christine said that helped lift her spirits after her split from radio and
Former Towie star Dan was adamant nothing happened romantically between the pair, even suggesting that the text messages between them were “deep fakes or AI” when asked.
Jac and Dan went on to celebrate their eigth wedding anniversary in June last year.

Our insider added: “Jacqueline and Dan haven’t been posting about each other online. Despite Jac’s success of being a ‘mumfluencer’ because of fans’ keen interest in her and her two girls, she hates talking about her marriage.
“Recently, any interaction with Dan on socials has been non-existent, but they have both kept posting pictures of their kids online at the same events to give the impression all is well.”
In a round-up on last month, Jac shared pictures of her grinning with pals at an exercise class and mid-weight session.

Keen not to deprive herself, Jacqueline has balanced her exercise regime with roast dinners alongside loves ones — as well as sharing chocolate and popcorn with her kids at the cinema. Sadly however, her husband Dan was missing from the photo “dump”.
In fact, he hasn’t been pictured on Jac’s Instagram grid since Halloween.
Insiders claimed in January that the couple were living apart despite their reconciliation last summer, with Dan taking the unusual decision to keep hold of his own pad.
Jacqueline also appeared to turn a blind eye to Dan “liking” sexy snaps of right under her nose in a bid to cling on to their relationship.
His friend added: “Their relationship has always given his friends whiplash. They never know what the next moment will bring.
“One thing is for sure, they don’t want to give anyone the satisfaction of knowing it hasn’t worked. They’ve always tried their utmost to play happy families, no matter what’s going on behind closed doors.”
