Investigate issues of allocation of lands in FCT – NACAT to Tinubu

The Network Against Corruption and Trafficking, NACAT, has called on President Bola Tinubu to allow the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, and the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission, ICPC, to investigate the alleged diversion of lands in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.

The anti-graft body is also calling for the sack of anyone found guilty of overstepping boundaries with immediate effect.

The organisation said it was worrisome that President Tinubu, until now, has yet to call those being accused to order.

NACAT said it has observed that lands in the FCT are being allocated to both immediate and extended members of families of those in government, and yet the President has refused to take action.

NACAT said it won’t fold its hands and watch this continue to happen in the nation’s capital.

The group said in a statement signed by

Fejiro Oliver Tega Samson, its Co-Founder, “Therefore, we call on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to immediately swing into action... while we call on the anti-graft agencies to arrest those involved and begin a probe.

“Stella Oduah was removed from office by President Goodluck Jonathan for buying a BMW of less than N300 million,” it cited.

“Failure to do this, we will stage a continuous protest at the National Assembly and FCT Ministry.

“We have had it up to our throats as citizens of Nigeria and can no longer tolerate further destruction of Abuja and Nigeria. Enough is enough.”
