SAMSUNG’S cheaper Galaxy phones are starting to look far more expensive than they actually are.
The latest example comes from ID Mobile, which is offering the monthly Samsung Galaxy A26 for just £14.99 a month.

That is miles cheaper than flagship contracts, where monthly bills can easily climb past £40 or even £50.
There is a small £5 upfront fee, but the overall price still looks unusually low for a brand new Samsung handset.
And unlike older phones, this no longer feels like a major step down in everyday use.
The Galaxy A26 still packs in Samsung’s slick design, a huge 6.7-inch AMOLED display and the kind of polished finish usually reserved for pricier models.
The appeal here is how many higher-end features have filtered down into a much cheaper device.
There is a 50MP main camera, optical image stabilisation, IP67 water resistance and Samsung Knox security built in.
Those are features that you’d expect to pay a premium for, but are a mainstay in Samsung’s budget A-series.

Battery life also looks practical, with a large 5,000mAh capacity rated for up to 17 hours, which should comfortably see most users through a full day.
There are compromises, though; the processor will not match the speed or long-term headroom of Samsung’s premium Galaxy S range.
But for most users who are not chasing the newest or fastest model, it gets the job done well.
