She was last seen alongside Aaron in CCTV footage taken on March 25 – with the couple seen at a Kwik Trip convenience shop in Beaver Dam, where they shared an apartment.
Alexis’ phone data shows she shortly after moved to Sun Prairie, about 30 miles away.
Following this, her husband then purchased a 32-gallon trash can, reports claim.
Days later, Aaron allegedly created a new Facebook account with the name “James Nelson”.
The profile’s relationship status was reportedly marked as widowed.
By April 30, 2025, Aaron is said to have met a new date through Tinder.
His new lover told local cops she even moved in with him by the end of May, prosecutors say.
Aaron’s new girlfriend was then spotted wearing Alexis’ engagement ring while she spoke with police, reports say.
Police searched Aaron’s new home in June and uncovered the 32-gallon trash can .
Investigators said it tested positive for his missing wife’s blood.
A cadaver dog also reportedly recognised the scent of decaying human remains in a shed on the property.
Alexis’ remains have not been located, but Aaron was arrested last week on Friday.
He has been charged with first-degree intentional homicide and hiding a corpse.
The alleged killer has been booked in Dodge County Jail.
He is being held on an £860,000 cash bond, court records show.
Aaron is next due in court on May 28.
