Hayley Williams, renowned for her work with Paramore, conversed with Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler during the latest episode of her podcast, Good Hang, where they both expressed their enthusiasm for the show.
Each week, millions of viewers tune in to watch British families like the Siddiquis, the Malones, and, of course, Mary and Giles, comment on the most significant television moments from the past week while relaxing in their living rooms.
It appears that Hayley is among the many millions who are captivated by the hit show, which is currently in its thirteenth season.
During the Golden Globe-nominated podcast, the rock star inquired if Amy had ever watched Gogglebox.
After Amy confirmed that she had, Hayley exclaimed: “Oh my God, Amy, this is my favorite show of all time.”
“Explain to people what it is for those who don’t know,” Amy joked.
“So imagine Amy and I are watching television together and there are all these cameras around, which honestly sounds terrifying, but it’s just families and friends watching TV and commenting on what they see,” Hayley explained.
“Sometimes it’s like, you know, soap opera drama, and at other times it’s about Boris Johnson.”
Amy added: “Yeah, I often see clips of touching scenes where a young teen comes out to their parents, and you expect that a very blue-collar family would struggle with it, but they never do.”
“Oh my God, England is just filled with angels,” Hayley responded.
Amy quipped: “Well, according to Gogglebox.”
