A TEENAGE girl has tragically died after being struck by a car near a private school.
Cops arrested a 68-year-old driver after the horror near Highgate School in Highgate, .
Emergency crews, including London Ambulance Service and London Fire Brigade, rushed to North Road at around 8.15am.
A Met spokesperson said: “At 8.13am police were called to reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and car on Northroad, Hornsey.
“Officers attended the scene alongside the London Ambulance Service, London Fire Brigade and London Air Ambulance.
“The pedestrian, a 16-year-old girl, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
“Her next-of-kin has been informed and is being supported by officers at this difficult time.
“The driver of the car, a 68-year-old man, did not sustain any injuries and remained at the scene.
“He has since been arrested on suspicion of death by careless driving and taken to custody.”
