SKY SPORTS pundit and ex-Manchester United ace Gary Neville has made a bold prediction for his Premier League top five.

A frantic weekend of football has left many fans on the edge of their seats as the run-in closes.

Despite on Sunday the pundit still expects them to finish in the top five.

And the Champions League spots this season should drop down to fifth.

Speaking on The Gary Neville Podcast he said: “I think finish fourth and I think will finish fifth.”

The Blues’ defeat to Arsenal on Sunday saw them drop to sixth – three points off Liverpool in fifth.

However believes they have enough quality to earn a spot.

The pundit is set on Man Utd and occupying the third and fourth spots but said: “The only doubt will be Chelsea or Villa for fifth.”

He blamed ‘s recent dip in form on injuries.

Nev added: “Midfield players being injured have cost them in the last few weeks.”

Club captain John McGinn, Boubacar Kamara and Youri Tielemans have all been sidelined.

Neville said: ” I hope Villa finish in the top five, I really do.”

The ex-England star didn’t commit to giving his prediction for the winner – with that seemingly tied down between Arsenal and Manchester City.

Villa host Chelsea on Wednesday night in what is a huge clash in the race for a top five spot.

Liam Rosenior’s team also have to face the other two European contenders Man Utd and Liverpool at the business end of the season.
