FORMER Wimbledon star Neal Ardley has been sacked as manager of non-league Woking after losing six of his last nine matches.
Ex-midfielder Ardley, 53, starred in the for the Dons between 1992 and 2000.

He has since moved into coaching and took over National League side Woking in December 2024.
The club were 19th in the table at the time of his arrival and he managed to stabilise the team and helped them finish 15th last season.
But despite a promising start to the 2025-26 campaign, Ardley managed just two wins from Woking’s last nine games.
Woking are now 17th in the National League, just five points off the relegatin places.
The Cardinals have now decided to swing the axe as the club look to keep their play-off hopes alive.
Assistant boss Simon Bassey has also followed Ardley out the door at Woking.
A club statement read: “Woking Football Club can confirm that Manager Neal Ardley and Assistant Manager Simon Bassey have been relieved of their duties with immediate effect.
“This decision follows a decline in performances over the past two months which saw us go from within touching distance of the play-off positions and the opportunity of reaching the FA Trophy semi-finals to where we find ourselves today.

“The Club would like to place on record its sincere thanks to Neal and Simon for their contributions over the past 14 months and wishes them both every success in the future.”
Chairman Todd Johnson said Ardley was ousted because results “didn’t match our ambitions”.
He said: “We’ve reached the conclusion that it’s time to make a change.
“Ultimately, this is a results-oriented business, and the results did not match our ambitions.
“Our focus is on building a positive, club-oriented, winning culture.
“We believe in this group of players and in creating the right environment for them to play with confidence, intent and ambition.”
Ardley managed ten wins, eight draws and 13 defeats this season.
He has previously managed AFC Wimbledon, the phoenix club of his old side, and from in 2016.
Ardley also reached the National League play-offs with Notts County and Solihull Moors but failed to secure victory in either.
