EMILE SMITH ROWE earned a point for Fulham after a Rodrigo Muniz own goal had put Manchester United into the lead in a topsy-turvy game at Craven Cottage.
Bruno Fernandes had smashed a controversial penalty – given to United after a VAR check – way over the bar.
Ruben Amorim ‘s side started well with Matheus Cunha unlucky to hit the post and then forcing a top save from Bernd Leno.
Fulham teenager Joshua King and Alex Iwobi also forced Altay Bayindir into good saves, with the Turkish keeper starting in place of Andre Onana.
It was United who took the lead after a corner, with Lenny Yoro’s header deflected in by Muniz, before Smith Rowe turned in an Iwobi cross to share the spoils.
