Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon head coach, Mike Ndoumou has explained the reason behind his team’s defeat to the Super Falcons, DAILY POST reports.
Cameroon lost 3-1 to the African champions in a pre-2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations friendly at the Military Stadium, Yaoundé on Tuesday.
Ndoumou’s side beat Nigeria 1-0 in the first friendly last Saturday, but the Super Falcons avenged the loss in convincing fashion.
Christiane gave the Indomitable Lionesses an early lead. The Super Falcons, however, rallied to win the game through goals from Chiwendu Ihezuo, Omorinsola Babajide, and Michelle Alozie.
Ndoumou said his team allowed their opponent to control the game.
“We let Nigeria lay siege on us and play in our half. The goals came very quickly,” he said in his post-match reaction.
