ARVID LINDBLAD and Liam Lawson were locked in a tense exchange after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Racing Bulls rookie Lindblad approached his team-mate during an interview in the media pen after their collision in Baku.
The Surrey-born 19-year-old apologised to Lawson after he locked his brakes late on and made contact with the left side of the Kiwi driver’s car.
A fuming Lawson said on the team at the time: “Pretty sick being taken out by your own team-mate.”
Lindblad went on to bring home P7 and six points for Racing Bulls – equalling his best finish in so far.
Meanwhile Lawson, who picked up damage on his car from the collision, had to settle for a disappointing 12th.
Lindblad said in the media pen: “I’m sorry mate,” while shaking his team-mate’s hand.
Lawson replied: “I haven’t seen it bro, but did you go down the middle or…?”
The pair then shuffled away from the microphones to continue their conversation, which can’t be heard.
The interaction has been doing the rounds on social media with some fans believing it was clever from Lindblad to apologise in front of the cameras.

Another added: “Tactical doing it in the media pen where Lawson can’t blow up at him. Smart man.”
Others praised the interaction, describing it as a “class” move.
One fan said: “Looked so incredibly awkward but I’m glad Lindblad owned it. You can tell Lawson is still p****d af.”
