David Coote, former English Premier League referee, has been charged with producing an indecent video of a child.

The 43-year-old is due to appear at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

As reported by Metro UK, the charge of creating an indecent image of a child involves activities like downloading, sharing, or saving abusive photos or videos.

The allegation is coming from a video that investigators from Nottinghamshire Police recovered in February.

Recall that Coote was charged in August and he is on conditional bail.

He was sacked by Professional Game Match Officials Limited , PGMOL, last December, after a video of abusive comments he made about former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp in 2020 came to light.
