Chelsea are looking to add to their squad this January window following the arrival of Liam Rosenior as their new head coach.

The Blues want to bring in an elite centre-back, following the ACL injury suffered by Levi Colwill.

However, Daily Mail reports the club was already scouting such targets long before Colwill picked up the injury.

Chelsea were confident of landing Dean Huijsen from Bournemouth, but the 20-year-old opted to move to Real Madrid last summer.

Jeremy Jacquet of Rennes and Jacobo Ramon of Como are two of the names on their shortlist.

Although their priority is signing a centre back, Chelsea could also sign a midfielder or attacker if a good opportunity arises.
