Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has provided updates on player injuries ahead of this weekend’s Premier League match against Wolves.
Arteta, addressing the media on Friday, mentioned a few players who are nearing full fitness.
William Saliba may be ready to return for the match on Saturday, and Arteta is optimistic that he will be fit to play against Everton next weekend if not.
Saliba has not played since the 3-1 victory over Bayern Munich on November 26.
“We have to wait and see,” Arteta stated.
“Yesterday we didn't train. He hasn't trained with us yet. We have an extra day. We will train this afternoon. Let’s see if he can be available for that.
“It remains the same [a matter of days]. If you ask me about the Everton game, I believe he will be fit. For tomorrow, I’m not sure.”
Arteta did not confirm whether Jurrien Timber, Declan Rice, and Leandro Trossard will be available after they missed the midweek victory against Club Brugge.
