AN EMMERDALE star has filmed his final scenes on the soap as part of the show’s darkest ever plot.

The soap has tackled the endemic happening under people’s noses across the country with a storyline surrounding Bear Wolf.

The former professional wrestler was manipulated into enslavement by Ray and Celia Daniels in a disturbing storyline that has attracted .

As far as his family are aware Bear left the village months ago after clashing with his son Paddy.

But unbeknownst to them he never left the village and has been locked in Celia’s rented farmhouse, forced to work and tolerate horrifying conditions.

Last month Bear was left devastated when one of the other enslaved people, .

He was then offered the chance to get in on an escape plan with another of the enslaved people – Simo.

Along with Mick, they planned to escape from the farm and return to society – but the plan failed.

Simo then disappeared with Ray insisting he’d been moved to another of their farms.

And The Sun can confirm that Simo actor Steven Gidwaney has filmed his final scenes as the character.

He posted a goodbye message on his social media to the soap writing: “What a pleasure it’s been to be involved in such a HUGE storyline.

“To have been trusted with something like this is amazing to me! Firstly, I’d like to thank my incredibly hardworking agent for always pushing me through that door. You work so hard and I appreciate you so much and so glad I’ve got you in my corner.

“Secondly, the whole team at ! Cast, crew, kitchen staff, everyone! Amazing people and honestly the best place I’ve had the pleasure of working!

“A special thank you to Faye Styring & Ezra Tren-Humphries for allowing me to be Simo. Another special thank you to Tim O’Mara, Eamonn Norris, Jeff Naylor & Gary Williams – all the fabulous directors I worked with.”

He added: “I’ve loved every second of being Simo!

“BIG thank you to you all for all your love and support and keep watching the nations favourite farm to see what happens with Bear, Celia & Ray!”
