And while many parents have been scratching their heads as to what comical scenes they can place the in, one gran shared how she truly pushed the boat out.

Taking to Facebook , the creative grandma shared how their took a whopping 15 hours to set up.
She shared how she used 14 rolls of wrapping paper to completely cover her kitchen – including covering each individual appliance.
The mum wrote: “14 rolls of wrapping paper. Three rolls of tape. And FIVE HOURS LATER!!!!
“(There were 3 OF US TOO).
“This Gramma is just about OVER IT this year.”
Every inch of the room had been covered in the shiny paper, from the kitchen counters to the walls and windows.
The family had even gone as far as to cover the ceiling with paper too.
In front of the scene, they placed the popular to suggest to their kids that he was responsible for the mess.
Many people were amazed at their humongous effort and rushed to the comments to give their views.
One said: “And here I am barely surviving wrapping gifts for 6 kids.”
Another added: “Yea I do not love my kids that much.”
And a third wrote: “Oh you’re committed committed.”
One parent jokingly shared their effort in comparison, showing how they had simply put their Elf in the fridge wrapped in a tea towel.
Some pointed out the amount of time they put in for such a short-lived prank, as typically the Elf is placed in a new scene each day.

Elf history
The is a tradition that began in 2005, according to CNBC , and now sees parents putting the toy in a for their kids in the run-up to December 25.
According to the outlet, that year, Carol Aebersold and her daughter Chanda Bell self-published the book titled The Elf on the Shelf: A Christmas Tradition.
The book came with a special box that contained a small Scout Elf.

In an interview on The News with Shepard Smith, Bell said the tradition is like a “simple game of hide and seek.”
She continued: “The elf will watch us during the day, report to Santa at night, and in the morning before kids wake up, the elf flies back from the North Pole and lands on a different spot in the house.
“They move around the house, they engage with families, hopefully they bring lots of joy and lots of fun.”
According to The Elf on the Shelf website, Scout Elves are “Santa’s most trusted helpers who help him in homes around the world and back at the North Pole.”
When does Elf on the Shelf begin?
According to the official website your Scout Elf can arrive anytime during the festive period.
Typically he or she will arrive at the start of the celebrations and return to the North Pole with Santa Claus on Christmas Eve.
Santa sends most of his Scout Elves during “Scout Elf Return Week”, which runs from November 23 to December 1.
