As the AI robot performs tricks and stands on two legs, the owner and dog stand back cautiously of the product.

In the video recorded by a person across the street, the robot stands on its two legs, scaring the fluffy dog away.

As the robot imitates the movement of a real dog, the owner of the dog gets pulled back as the dog pulls on the lead, backing away from it.

Staring at the robot at a distance, the silver machine then stands on its front two legs.

As the dog its tail appearing both excited and scared, the owner sits on the pavement wall and watched the face-off unfold.

Commentating over the video, the cameraperson said: β€œDog sees the future and he is like β€˜nah’. That is hilarious.

β€œThe dog is like what is going on. You are on four legs but this should not be happening.”

The robot appears to be the Go2 AIR Robotic Dog model made by Chinese firm Unitree Robotics.

It is described as an advanced intelligent bionic quadruped robot which can perform complex movements.

It uses sensors to assess its surroundings and can perform upside-down walks, adaptive roll-overs and obstacle climbing.

The metal can recognise human voices and can respond to commands and questions.

Using AI, it can train on vast amounts of text and audio response in a human-like way.

But despite all of its capabilities, it cannot be walked in the rain and only has a battery life of two hours.
