The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has issued a warning to the public regarding a number of fraudulent online links and social media accounts that falsely claim to serve as the party's official membership registration platform.

This information was included in an official statement signed by the party's National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, on Sunday.

According to the statement, the ADC clarified that it has not initiated any public online membership registration link.

The statement stressed that all circulating links should be entirely ignored.

The party also explained that it is currently in the process of creating an official membership registration and verification platform, which will be formally announced through verified party channels in due time.

“The ADC will never ask for payments or sensitive personal information via unofficial links, WhatsApp messages, direct messages, or third-party websites,” the statement noted.

The ADC also provided clear guidance to the public on how to safeguard themselves against scams.

“The public is advised not to click on suspicious or unverified links, refrain from sharing unconfirmed registration messages, and avoid submitting personal information such as name, phone number, Permanent Voter Card (PVC) details, Bank Verification Number (BVN), or payment information on any unverified platform. Any questionable links should be reported to the ADC through official party communication channels.”

“All authentic ADC announcements, including the launch of the official membership registration platform, will only be communicated through verified ADC platforms and formal statements from party leadership,” the statement added.

The party assured that it is actively addressing this issue and will take all necessary measures to protect the public and maintain the integrity of the party.
