Some members of the David Mark-led faction of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, were present as the factional National Chairman of the party, Nafiu Bala and his group protested at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in Abuja, on Thursday.

Sighted at the venue is former Kogi West senator, Dino Melaye, and some other members of the Mark-led faction.

DAILY POST had earlier reported that Bala led a protest demanding that opposition leaders like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and former Senate President David Mark stay away from the party.

Bala accused the opposition leaders of attempting to hijack the party.

The party’s House of Representatives member, Leke Abejide, joined in the protest as they marched with supporters carrying placards with various inscriptions.

The Mark-led faction had protested at the INEC office in Abuja on Wednesday over the de-recognition of its leadership.
