A judge eased his bail conditions to allow him to participate in the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship while he appeals his extradition.

Ostafi, known as The Wrecking Machine, competes under the name David Oscar.

He arrived in the UK in 2016, the same year he was sentenced to 30 months in prison.

In 2019, the 6ft 1in brute delivered a “flying headbutt” to a woman and assaulted her male colleague when he was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

Officers discovered a metal baseball bat, pepper spray, and a wrap of drugs in the stolen £48,000 vehicle he was operating.

Ostafi, who had previously punched a garage worker 20 times, knocking out three teeth, was sentenced to 40 months in prison.

Upon his release, the fighter, who has convictions for robbery and extortion in Poland, should have been deported under the UK Borders Act.

He managed to evade deportation until his arrest in August last year at a boxing gym after Polish authorities requested his extradition.

Ostafi, residing in Blackburn, is currently on £40,000 bail, required to wear an electronic tag, and is subject to a curfew except on fight nights.

His legal team argues that he has a right to family life in Britain under the European Convention on Human Rights.

He has a son with his wife, who has two children from a previous relationship.

The High Court has blocked his extradition appeal, but he retains the right to contest this decision.
