Georgia Jones Sets One Key Rule for Danny After His 'Embarrassing' Kiss with Maura and Return to Party Life

OVER the past year, Danny Jones has kept his head down as he desperately tries to retain his reputation and keep his wife happy after he was caught kissing Maura Higgins.

But in recent months the 40-year-old has slowly returned to his old partying ways, according to insiders – And while you’d think wife would be dead against, astonishingly she’s given him free rein, but on ONE condition.

We’re told that the mum-of-one, 39, has said he’s off the hook if he follows her one rule – he lets her come with him on nights out.

An insider said: “Danny and Georgia are in a really good place now. It was incredibly difficult for Georgia so she’s had to put some boundaries in place.

“Last week they enjoyed a wild night at Freedom bar in Soho and it was like the old days. They were drinking and having fun and life felt really good again.

“Danny was on top form and the club went wild when a song came on – they were all loving it.”

The couple met up with some pals in the club, including star Sam Ashby, who met Danny whilst recording.

We’re told Danny is back in the studio but not with McFly. Another source told us: “Danny is working on some new music without his bandmates. He’s been working with lots of cool people and there are exciting things in the pipeline.

“It’s great that he is back in the studio, but the most important thing is he is back in with his wife.

“They finally finished work on their new home after over a year working on it and it feels like a fresh start.”

They’ve come a long way following his now infamous snog with Maura in 2025.

Danny had met star while , but his high from being crowned jungle king didn’t last long as a few months later his moment with his co-star during a very boozy night out sent showwaves through his fanbase.

Just days before the kiss, Danny had joked on a podcast about how time in the jungle in had been tough for Georgia.

He said: “I left my wife to move house so I’m surprised she’s still with me to be honest because she moved the house all by herself.”

‘Hurt and embarrassed’

, who was very open about how hard it was to move house alone, was completely blindsided by his kiss with Maura – and temporarily as she tried to come to terms with what had happened.

The kiss put a huge strain on the couple, who have been married for over ten years.

A source said at the time: “Danny and Georgia may still be married but they’re not together and she is working out what she wants to do.

“She has been hugely hurt and embarrassed by everything and told Danny she needed to get away.

“She has been staying with her friend since Wednesday.

“Georgia is no pushover and Danny knows as much. They are still talking about how they can move forwards.”

In a bid to make amends, Danny broke his silence a week later and very publicly apologised, writing: “I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation.

“I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.”

The couple reportedly held crisis meetings as they attempted to figure out how to move on. Georgia moved back in and very slowly normality resumed.

In the months that followed Danny went to ground, filming for was postponed until later this year and no plans were put in place for new music with McFly.

‘Best behaviour’

A few months later it was back to work though as he embarked on a joint UK and Ireland arena tour with . Danny was said to have been on his ‘best behaviour’, according to those close to the star.

This year, Danny decided to sit out of the Brit Awards, which took place in .

Instead, he was pictured enjoying a day out with Georgia, their eight year old son Cooper and close friends.

Meanwhile, Maura’s career has thrived and she’s become a huge star in the US.

Danny and Georgia first met back in 2010 before he asked her to be his wife three years later while on holiday in Cyprus.

They married the following August in her hometown of Malton, North Yorks, in a ceremony which featured musical performances by McBusted and .

The lead guitarist has said in the past that his wife Georgia had struggled to understand why he needed therapy.

But Danny, who has suffered with anxiety after his dad Alan left him as a teenager, explained why he needed it on the High Performance podcast last July.

He said: “I was obviously hurt by something and traumatised and needed rebalancing, or reprogramming should I say. “You know, it’s great talking to friends, it’s great talking to your loved ones, because my wife didn’t understand why I had to go at first.

“She’s like, why don’t you talk to me? Why can’t I help you? But I needed that one professional, actually many professionals over my time, just to reprogram me and helped me massively.”

And as he gears up to hit the road with McFly again, it seems things are finally back to normal. The only playing away Danny will be doing this year will be on stage.
