Authorities are urgently searching for a 12-year-old boy who disappeared while wearing his school uniform and without a phone.
The boy, named Yafee, was last seen by a family member just after 5 PM yesterday on Khartoum Road in Newham.
Yafee’s family has been frantically searching the local area and reaching out to his friends, but he has yet to be located.
Since Yafee was reported missing at 8:38 PM, officers have been conducting thorough investigations.
However, there have been no confirmed sightings of Yafee to date.
According to the police, Yafee is described as having an Asian appearance with brown hair.
He is approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall and has a medium build.
At the time he was last seen, he was wearing a school uniform, specifically a black blazer and trousers along with a black and yellow tie.
Yafee was also carrying a black backpack, as stated by law enforcement.
Detective Inspector Sam Lockstone commented: “With each hour that passes since Yafee was last seen, our concern is growing.
“This disappearance is completely out of character, and given the cold weather, he may be alone on the streets of East London in his school uniform, without a phone or any means to ask for help.
“I am also appealing to anyone who may be out at this hour – taxi and bus drivers, delivery personnel, or those returning home from night shifts or heading in for an early start.
“Please remain vigilant for any signs of Yafee. If you see someone you think might be him, even if you’re unsure, please contact us immediately.
“Our main priority is to locate Yafee, ensure his safety, and return him to his family, who are extremely worried about him.”
