Club World Cup: Why Flamengo beat Chelsea 3-1 – Mikel Obi

Former Super Eagles midfielder, John Mikel Obi, has claimed that Flamengo “outplayed”; Chelsea as they came from behind to win 3-1 at the Club World Cup on Friday.

The Blues had taken a first-half lead through Pedro Neto.

But the Brazilian club fought back to score three times in the second half, through Bruno Henrique, Danilo and Wallace Yan.

Chelsea substitute was shown a straight card minutes after coming on, before the third goal was scored.

“Flamengo from the start of the game they were the much better side,”; Mikel Obi said on DAZN.

“They controlled the game, played well, with tempo, they were aggressive.

“They were first to every ball and outplayed Chelsea from the very start.”;
