Clara Amfo takes the cut-throat world of TV all in her stride.
She secretly auditioned as a presenter for the revamped series of , and was gutted at first when she didn’t make the cut.
The former Radio 1 DJ said on her podcast, Clara & Munroe Are Into It: “I was in the mix. I can say it publicly now.
“I tried out for the main job of Strictly Come Dancing. Didn’t get it. Bit gutted at the time, but quickly got over it.
“I tried out for Strictly with another presenter. They tried us out in pairs.”
Clara added: “It was intense, man, but big up . We get on fantastically well. She’s going to be amazing.
“, that’s my boy, we love Jojo, and – lovely, lovely man.
“I’m never mad at losing out on work to people I respect and who I think are really, really good at their .”

Leigh’s milking moment
Art has always been divisive, but Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s appearance at London Fashion Week yesterday was just plain odd.
The Little Mix singer walked the runway for Di Petsa with a top that leaked milk from her chest.
Wearing sheer white trousers and a matching white top, Leigh-Anne strutted her stuff before giving a quirky am-dram performance mid-show.
As her top leaked, model “babies” gathered around her while real-life babies sat in the audience with glasses of milk.
Later on in the show, two babies were carried down the runway by their mothers to symbolise,er, motherhood.
A source said: “It was all very bizarre, but that’s art for you.
“Leigh-Anne never wants to be pigeonholed, and this show proves that.”
Leigh-Anne is currently expecting her third child with her husband, footballer Andre Gray. They welcomed twin daughters in 2021.
