CORONATION Street legend Beverley Callard has revealed her relief after receiving some important news about her health battle, after a terrifying wait for the results.
The beloved actress, 69, best known for playing Liz McDonald on the cobbles, revealed earlier this year that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer , and .
Speaking in a new video on Instagram, shared: “Well, an update. Great news. Absolutely great, great news.
“I’ve now got the results of the biopsies and it’s chronic inflammation and H. pylori bacteria, but no stomach cancer whatsoever.”
The thrilled star continued: “Thank god, thank god, you know when you think, ‘No of course it isn’t.’
“But there’s that waiting and so it all sits in the back of your mind.
“I’ve now got more medication than you’ve ever seen I’m going to be rattling around like Boots the chemist.
“But I should get some relief from all these medications quite rapidly now so fingers crossed.”
The Fair City actress ended by saying: “So hopefully I’ll be feeling so much better.
“And thanks so much for all your messages and everything. So yes, the fight is back on.”
