THE Met Police Commissioner has said that he would not be surprised if “many more” victims of Russell Brand came forward.
Brand, 51 – due to be sentenced on Monday – was being monitored around the clock by guards .

The 51-year-old is facing years in jail after the court heard he became a “ruthless, calculated and manipulative” predator as he sought to satisfy his “voracious” sexual appetite.
Brand preyed on women between 1999 and 2009 and used his growing fame – from presenting Big Brother’s Big Mouth and Hollywood movies – to target the victims in a range of locations.
Now, Met Police Commissioner Sir Mark Rowley is encouraging anybody else to come forward if there are any other allegations after Russell Brand was convicted.
Sir Mark added that he would not be surprised if “many more” alleged victims of Brand now came forward.

He told Times Radio: “Every case like this depends on brave victim survivors who are prepared to step forward and tell their story to police officers and tell their story to a court when you’ve had something so intrusive and awful happen that that really shows real bravery and determination, and you have to admire that.
“I’m proud of our officers and the support they’ve offered them and the case they’ve built. They’ve spoken to 100 witnesses. They’ve taken 400 statements. It’s a sizeable investigation.
“As you’ve heard, there’s two more rape allegations that we’re looking at. We’re encouraging anybody else to come forward if there’s any other allegations.
“The wider point I would make: this looks at one hand it’s a celebrity, but most sex offending is where someone of power exploits that with someone who is less powerful themselves.
“It might be an uncle, it might be a teacher, it might be a vicar. Could be a whole range of different situations. And what cases like this show is, it doesn’t matter how powerful the person is, we will support you, and we will try and bring down the person who did something ghastly to you.”
At Southwark Crown Court yesterday, a jury found Brand guilty of one count of rape and three counts of sexual assault after deliberating for eight and a half hours.
The jury found him guilty of groping an MTV worker during a party at a Soho bar in 2004, but not guilty of going on to rape her in a toilet.
Brand, 51, was convicted of “sloppily” kissing and groping a Capital worker after encountering her in a corridor in 2005.
Brand was also convicted by the jury of sexually assaulting a worker in 2009 when she had been forced to give him a massage.
The vile attacker was found not guilty by the jury of raping a woman he met at a cabaret show on the fringes of the 1999 conference in Bournemouth.
He was also cleared of trying to drag an MTV worker into a toilet to indecently assault her in 2001.
The prospect of further charges was raised in court hearings in March and May, when Brand’s legal team sought assurances that new charges would not be brought shortly before the trial took place.
Brand, who told his wife Laura Gallacher “I love you” after entering the dock, displayed no emotion as the jury delivered its verdicts, at the end of a trial that lasted nearly four weeks.
