BRITAIN’S forces experienced terrifying near misses as missiles and drones launched by Iran landed dangerously close to their bases.

Shocking footage shared online appeared to show American Patriot missiles failing to intercept some of the incoming as blasts rocked the port.
In Iraq, British forces were just 400 metres from an airstrike that punched through allied air defences.
Defence insiders insisted all UK personnel are “safe and accounted for” – but refused to say whether any had been wounded in the chaos.
The attacks come as vows to unleash its “most intense offensive operation” ever, promising “regret-inducing punishment” against Israeli and American bases.
Defence Secretary launched a blistering attack on the regime.
He said: “Few people will mourn the Ayatollah’s death, not least the family and friends of those thousands of young protesters murdered on the streets of Iranian cities.”
“Iran and the regime he’s led for so long, is a source of evil, murdering its own citizens, and sponsoring and exporting terror, including to countries like Britain.”
“This regime is lashing out. It’s lashing out in an increasingly indiscriminate and widespread way, and people will be really concerned that it’s not just military targets, but civilian airports like .”
He added: “Hotels in Dubai and Bahrain are being hit. And so that’s why we’ve strengthened the UK defences in the region. We are active in regional defence operations.”

Across the Atlantic, has hit back, vowing to strike with “force never seen before”.
