The CIA tracked the tyrant for months before the strike that – and the agency had “indicators” that Tehran was planning to hit US bases.

An American official said the attack was urgent because Iran was an “intolerable risk” to the US.
He revealed: “The president decided he was not going to sit back and allow American forces in the region to absorb attacks.”
Israel and the US worked closely in the run up to operation Epic Fury – the CIA passed information to Israel so that it could launch its long-planned pinpoint attack.
They had followed the dictator’s every move for months, carefully observing his patterns, sources told the New York Times .
The plan was to take Khamenei out at night, under the cover of darkness.
But when the CIA learnt that the Ayatollah would chair a meeting of top Iranian officials at a leadership compound in the heart of Tehran on Saturday morning, they knew it was time to strike.
Fighter jets took off at around 6am in Israel, starting operation that would send shockwaves through the Middle East.
Around 9.40am, the IDF’s long-range missiles hit Khamenei’s compound.

The IDF killed Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and senior officials “in just half a minute in the opening strike”, Israel’s Channel 12 news reported.
An Israeli defense official said: “This morning’s strike was carried out simultaneously at several locations in Tehran, in one of which senior figures of Iran’s political-security echelon had gathered.”
Israel achieved “tactical surprise” with the compound blitz, even as Iran ramped up security and planned for war.
And the Ayatollah suffered an inglorious death – with the warped tyrant’s body found in a pile of rubble.
Israel announced his death late last night, before an Iranian state TV presenter broke down in tears as he confirmed the news.
State TV outlets confirmed their leader’s death simultaneously last night as the rogue nation announced 40 days of mourning.
Footage shows one tearful newsreader announcing the Ayatollah with a sorrowful statement, claiming that the man who last month has been “martyred”.
Hailing the success of his unprecedented Epic Fury mission, Trump proclaimed: “One of the most evil people in history is dead.”

The US president had repeatedly warned the Ayatollah to cut a deal with Washington over his nuclear regime – or face his wrath.
