Nobody unites the country quite like football.
However, there are individuals who possess more than just a casual understanding of the sport and the excitement it generates.

Belinda Coleman was once part of that world, enjoying a front-row seat to the wealth, pleasures, and pitfalls of being a Premier League wife.
She was married to the Welsh football coach, but in 2011, their 19-year relationship ended in turmoil due to cheating allegations.
The divorce left Chris, now 55, giving Belinda just two months to vacate the two-bedroom flat they shared with their four children: Sonny, Christy, Faraday, and Georgie—while he began planning his future with another woman.
Belinda reflects on how their once-perfect marriage turned into a nightmare, attributing their split to his numerous affairs.
Belinda stated, “He was unfaithful, and I grew tired of his indiscretions.”
“His affairs numbered in the double digits. I even confronted three or four of the women. I never yelled at them; I simply told them they weren’t the first and wouldn’t be the last.”
“I told him if he wanted to be with them, he should just leave us alone to live our lives.”
Now, over a decade later, Belinda shares what it’s like when your affluent marriage crumbles, the money disappears, and you’re left facing bailiffs.
By 1991, when she met Chris, then a player for Crystal Palace, Belinda owned her own flat and was managing a hotel health club.
“I was invited to a match by a player who came to the health club for physiotherapy. The first time I spoke to Chris in the lounge after the match, it felt so natural. I had no idea this man would change my life forever,” Belinda recounted to The Telegraph .
Just six months later, they were married—and according to Belinda, it felt like a fairy tale.
As Chris’s career took off, they transitioned from a two-bedroom rental to buying a small house before Chris moved to Blackburn, bringing in “so much money,” as Belinda described.
They enjoyed luxurious vacations, extravagant shopping sprees, and private schooling for their four children.
“I decorated our beautiful country home, called the Old Stables, with the finest equipment I could find.”
However, with an influx of money, they failed to plan for their financial future—something Belinda now reflects on with embarrassment, acknowledging their “financial irresponsibility.”
