The governor made this appeal on Friday during the launch of the Rehabilitated Akilo 1.0 MGD Micro Water Treatment Plant, emphasizing that the city is well-prepared to welcome all visitors.
“Let us take this opportunity, especially with the cameras on us, to remind everyone to be patient on the roads, as they are not the only users,” he stated.
“Please understand that LASTMA will be operating around the clock. Additionally, we have supported the police with extra vehicles through the Lagos State Security Trust Fund. They will be present to ensure your safety. Every necessary provision has been made.
“You may have noticed last month that at 2 AM and 3 AM, we ensured your safe return home. All security personnel will also be actively engaged to make this a sensitive season. However, please act responsibly and look out for one another.
“Be mindful of other road users. Patience is essential. Follow the rules of the day.
“Let’s ensure we are all in this together, making it a prosperous and harmonious season for everyone. I want to reiterate that the city is fully prepared to accommodate the influx of all our visitors, both local and international. We are ready to provide a welcoming environment that will work effectively for you,” he concluded.
