‘He’s trying to tell us something’ – Arsenal fans convinced new transfer is done after star’s ‘message’ in kit launch

ARSENAL fans are convinced the club has unofficially announced a major signing while unveiling their away kit.

The Gunners had , Gabriel Martinelli and Myles Lewis-Skelly promote the jerseys they will be wearing in away matches this coming season during an Adidas photoshoot.

Calafiori struck a pose that was very similar to Gyokeres’ signature celebration

And Calafiori, 23, struck a pose that strongly reminded supporters of a signature celebration made famous by the club’s biggest transfer target.

The versatile defender pulled the collar over his mouth and the photo was then shared by the famous sporting brand across social media.

That reminded fans of Sporting Lisbon star Viktor Gyokeres’ popular celebration that sees him placing both hands over his mouth after scoring a goal.

Of course there is no indication that the Italy international was actually teasing an imminent done deal between his team and .

But that didn’t stop Gooners from storming social media and engaging in wild speculation.

One fan tweeted: ” It’s happening!”

Another commented: “Riccardo Calafiori is tired of waiting. He decided to announce the signing of Gyokeres.”

A third wrote: “Calafiori, we saw what you did there! Gyokeres is coming.”

This fan said: “Calafiori is trying to communicate something here.”

And that one posted: “Agent Calafiori.”

Arsenal are for Gyokeres with negotiations over add-ons at the final stages.

The striker is adamant he will never play for Sporting again, , and has his heart set on playing at the Emirates.
