Arsenal continue their Champions League adventure against Lille tonight, looking to make it two wins from two in the competition.
The extended international break means it’s been over a month since the Gunners kicked off their campaign with a 1-0 victory over Napoli – their 13th successive league phase win.
Since then, Mikel Arteta’s side have claimed three wins in four matches across various competitions, including a comeback victory over Leeds on Saturday.
Arsenal were far from their brilliant best, but getting three points and putting that disappointing 3-0 defeat to Brighton in the rearview mirror was a must.
It also showed their stomach for the fight. Arsenal are the first team to win twice from losing positions in the Premier League this season, having also come from 1-0 down to beat Chelsea.
This will be the first meeting between these sides in any competition, but the outlook is promising for Arsenal, who have won five and drawn two of their last seven Champions League home games against French opposition.
Lille, meanwhile, have lost their last seven Champions League clashes against English opposition.
Now managed by Davide Ancelotti, son of Carlo, Lille have enjoyed an excellent start to their Ligue 1 campaign, sitting second behind Monaco with four wins from six matches.
Their Champions League campaign, however, began with a 3-2 home defeat to Real Betis, despite taking the lead twice.

I’m opting for Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard to score or assist tonight, available at even money with bet365.
The playmaker, 27, was the hero out in Naples last month and now has four goals in nine appearances for his club this season. He boasts Arsenal’s highest expected assists figure in the Premier League (1.44), and it looks like only a matter of time before he chalks up his first assist of the campaign.
His expected goal involvement stands at 3.33 this season, with only teammate Bukayo Saka ahead of him. Given Saka is priced at odds-on to score or assist tonight, I’m backing Odegaard to deliver at a bigger price.
