The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State has officially registered Governor Siminalayi Fubara as a member of the party.
In a photo shared by the media aide to the state APC chairman, Tony Okocha, Fubara is seen placing his thumbprint in a book that is believed to be the party’s register.
The registration occurred at the Government House in Port Harcourt on Friday.
DAILY POST reports that Governor Fubara had previously announced his intention to join the APC on Tuesday.
He stated that his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the APC is in the best interest of the people of Rivers State and is also a gesture of gratitude to President Bola Tinubu, whom he credited as the reason he continues to serve as the Governor of Rivers State.
