ANGELA Rayner has welcomed her partner Sam Tarry into her new seaside residence, just weeks after stepping down as Deputy Prime Minister due to the stamp duty controversy.
She was spotted leaving her home in Hove shortly after her former MP boyfriend exited while holding a set of keys.


This development follows his departure from a nearby residence, aided by her taxpayer-funded security detail.
A source commented: “Angela and Sam appear to be taking a significant step in their relationship.
“They have been spending considerable time together lately, and it now seems they have moved in together.”
Former MP Mr. Tarry, who lost his Ilford South seat in last year’s general election, has had a fluctuating relationship with Ms. Rayner since 2022.
The 44-year-old father of two, who is separated from his wife, was seen wearing a grey and white camouflage cap, jacket, and jeans as he exited Ms. Rayner’s residence on Thursday morning.
Ms. Rayner, a mother of three, aged 45, departed shortly before him accompanied by a close protection officer.
This comes after it was revealed that she had neglected to pay £40,000 in stamp duty on her Hove property.
The Sun on Sunday reported in August that she had purchased the apartment, leading to her gaining the nickname
Ms. Rayner already had a grace-and-favour flat at Admiralty House in London’s Whitehall and was also registered at her family home in her constituency of Ashton-under-Lyne.
She later when acquiring the Hove property, which resulted in her underpaying stamp duty by £40,000.
However, Sir Laurie Magnus, the Prime Minister’s Independent Adviser on Ministerial Standards, concluded that she had violated the ministerial code by underreporting her tax obligations.
