ANGELA Rayner must urgently refer herself to the independent ethics adviser amid questions over inheritance tax, Labour figures say.
The Deputy Prime Minister was told by critics to face questioning by watchdog Sir Laurie Magnus as concerns were raised over the arrangements.

One Labour MP said: “She must refer herself for the sake of transparency to establish all the facts and allow the public to have confidence in who they elect.”
The controversy deepened as the Tories questioned the tax implications as it was reported her £650,000 constituency home split the ownership with a trust back in 2023.
Senior party figures wanted to know about any potential for her family of the legal manoeuvre, the Mail on Sunday reported.
She used the services of a blue-chip law firm Shoosmiths which specialises in wealth protection, it’s been claimed.
Rayner has been beset by controversy after it emerged she bought a south coast seaside flat in Hove for £800,000.
She paid £30,000 in stamp duty but this would have risen to £70,000 if the flat had been considered her second property.
Questions have also been raised about using her northern address as her primary residence for council tax purposes.
This which would avoid paying the full rate of council tax on her Admirality house grace-and-favour Ministerial flat in central London.
Tory party chair Kevin Hollinrake also said she needs to tell Land Registry to place all documents in the public domain.
He added that she should “come clean on the litany of accusations of tax avoidance – be it stamp duty, council tax or inheritance tax ”.
Sir Laurie himself can kickstart a probe if he feels there is evidence of a breach of the rules.
A spokesperson for Ms Rayner has said she paid her taxes in full and done nothing wrong.
