The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has extended its congratulations to Charles Chukwuma Soludo on his remarkable and historic victory in the Anambra State Governorship Election held on November 8, 2025.

A press release from the party's National Publicity Secretary, Ejimofor Opara, which was shared with journalists on Sunday, stated that receiving 73 percent of the total votes cast and winning in 98 percent of the 326 electoral wards across the state demonstrates that the people of Anambra have once again given a clear, unmistakable, and overwhelming mandate.

He noted that the results reaffirmed the people's trust in Governor Soludo's visionary leadership, his bold reforms, and his steadfast commitment to creating a livable and prosperous homeland.

Opara stated: “This landslide victory is not just an electoral result; it serves as a referendum on performance, a celebration of progressive governance, and a reaffirmation of APGA as the genuine political identity of Ndi Igbo and the guardian of Anambra’s development goals.”

“We also acknowledge the professionalism and vigilance of the security agencies, whose presence and conduct ensured a peaceful and orderly process throughout the state.

“APGA expresses deep gratitude to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for fostering an environment of peace, fairness, and national responsibility during the electoral process.

“We commend the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a transparent and credible election that truly reflects the will of the people.”

The party mourned the loss of its member, Mr. Francis Onyeka Ibe, a Councillor of Owerre-ezukala and leader of the Orumba South Council, who was tragically shot dead by armed assailants shortly after casting his vote.

The party remarked: “As Governor Soludo begins his second term, APGA reaffirms its dedication to providing leadership that serves everyone—building institutions, enhancing democracy, expanding economic opportunities, and ensuring a secure future for every citizen of Anambra.”

“This victory signifies a new chapter. Together, we will create an Anambra that is livable, prosperous, globally competitive, and exemplary in governance.”
