This initiative is part of Prime Gaming, which is accessible to all subscribers.

If you have a membership, you can claim free games every month.

These games are yours to keep: once claimed, they remain in your game library permanently, even if you cancel your Prime subscription.

However, the catch is that this is a rotating list of games, meaning the freebies change every month.

If you don’t claim the October offerings, they will disappear as they are replaced by a new set of games in November.

Therefore, it’s essential to check Prime Gaming each month to ensure you’re taking full advantage of the available freebies (and don’t miss out on other perks).

Each month, a variety of games will be released, typically in waves every Thursday.

This means you can currently claim the offerings from October 2, October 9, and October 16.

These selections total just over £108.

One of the standout titles in this selection is XCOM 2, a turn-based tactics video game released in 2016.

Earth has changed. Twenty years have passed since world leaders surrendered unconditionally to alien forces,” Amazon explained.

“XCOM, the planet’s last line of defense, was left decimated and scattered.

“Now, in XCOM 2, the aliens dominate Earth, constructing gleaming cities that promise a bright future for humanity on the surface, while hiding a dark agenda and eliminating anyone who opposes their new order.”

Several supernatural-themed games are also available to celebrate Halloween.
