Members of African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Ibadan South West Local Government Area of Oyo State have elected ward and local government executives of the party.
The new executives were elected during the ward and local government congresses of the party held on Thursday in the Oke Ado area of Ibadan.
Our correspondent reports that the congresses were supervised by representatives of the national leadership of the party led by a former member of House of Representatives, Rasheed Afolabi.
The local government congress produced 31 officials among whom are Mr Michael Omotosho as Chairman, Alhaji Bello Ibrahim, Vice Chairman, Alimi Ganiyu, Secretary, Mrs Kemi Awolesin, Women Leader, Ibrahim Yunusa, Youth Leader and Saheed Ado, Publicity Secretary.
Others are Audu Muideen, Treasurer, Modinat Rasheed, Financial Secretary, Akinola Akeem, Welfare Secretary and Amidu Muili, Auditor.

A gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of the party, Chief Adegboyega Adegoke, while speaking with journalists at the end of the congresses, noted that the party is ready to take over the mantle of leadership both in the state and Nigeria at large.
He said, βThe government in power do not want the opposition to exist. That is why they are doing what they are doing. But it is a collective responsibility to chase them out.
βADC is ready to take over in the state and Nigeria in general. We need the support of the people and that is why we are calling on the people to join our party. As I am talking to you now, ADC has better chances to win the next general elections in Oyo State. People should come so that we can form the next government in Nigeria and Oyo State.β
