Prophet Joshua Iginla of the Champion Royal Assembly reeled out prophecies regarding the much-anticipated 2027 elections.
During a live service on Sunday, June 6, 2027, the popular prophet, while speaking on the state of the nation, said Peter Obi, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has been destined to take up the number one job.
The clergy, however, said it is not clear if the former Anambra State Governor will be elected president in 2027 or 2031.
Apparently referring to President Bola Tinubu, the prophet declared that “the person sitting on the throne is a lion,”; stating that Nigerians need someone with a lion personality to beat the incumbent president.
According to him, anything short of that “is a waste of political capital.”;
“I told you that you will continue to see drama in our political sector and many things will be happening. I said last Sunday that the person sitting on the throne is a lion and we need someone who has a lion... to take a step.
“I’m a prophet; I am neither here nor there. But the person of Peter Obi, it is in his destiny to sit on the number one seat. I cannot tell whether it is now or 2031, but it is in his destiny,”; he said.
Addressing the coalition of opposition leaders, the man of God, who spoke in parables, urged Peter Obi not to succumb to any pressure to deputise another candidate.
He said, “This is my advice concerning what I am seeing. The new coalition that we are doing, don’t go for a second-class citizen. If they give you number one, then you are prepared. If they give you a second-class citizen, don’t lose your political assets. Don’t fall into a trap.
“In the first place, there are mighty armies behind you. If you lose your army, you will not be a general.
“It is better that you wait patiently with your political capital and assets for a time that permits you to breathe properly than to sell your birthright to Jacob.
“I say this thing with serious sincerity with what I am seeing. Where you are today did not come as a result of any human being. When God wants to take you up, He will take you up. But don’t be a second-class citizen.
“Anything short of this is a waste of political capital. For now, the person sitting there is still seated, and I see the seats all complete. I’m seeing a strong future.
“If there is a change, I will give you a spiritual update. But for now, this is how it is. If there is a change in the atmosphere, I will tell you.”;
