The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Benue State, Benjamin Omale, has emphasised that the ongoing digital registration of members is the most credible system for determining who truly belongs to the party.

Omale explained that the nationwide e-registration initiative is not only designed to strengthen party structures but will also play a major role in ensuring the re-election of President Bola Tinubu and Governor Hyacinth Alia in 2027.

He made the remarks during the formal launch of the APC membership e-registration exercise in his hometown in Ohimini Local Government Area.

He noted that broad participation in the process would open doors of opportunity for members, stressing that ‘it’s also a way for to reelect governor Hyacinth Alia and President Bola Tinubu in 2027.’

According to him, loyalty and commitment from party faithful are essential, as the digital registration forms the base on which political relevance, internal democracy and electoral success will be anchored.

Omale cautioned that stakeholders who fail to take part in the exercise risk weakening the party they claim to support at both state and national levels.

His words: “In today’s political environment, data is power. A party that does not know its members, cannot protect them, mobilize them or defend their votes.

“E-registration gives us a verified, credible, digital membership register that will determine who votes in party primaries, who is recognized as a member, who qualifies for appointments, and who the party stands with during elections.

“Let me be very clear, If your name is not in the APC E-registration database, you are politically invisible”.

He further stated that the exercise would determine those who participate in selecting the party’s candidates and those who enjoy benefits from APC-led administrations.

Omale stressed that no political figure no matter their influence can afford to remain outside the process, noting that the initiative is fundamentally about securing the future direction of the APC.

He said the party must guard the membership structure against opportunists and external influences, adding that Governor Hyacinth Alia has fully endorsed the project.

According to him, the governor recognises that a strong party must rest on a transparent and dependable membership database, urging stakeholders at all levels to take responsibility for its success.

He charged ward leaders, local government chairmen, and appointed and elected officials to mobilise members, supervise the registration process, and protect the integrity of the exercise.
